Saturday, November 4th, 2006I’m really glad the week is over. As I get closer and closer to the end of this project I’m getting busier and busier. In a few weeks once it has launched I’m looking forward to taking a long weekend to relax completely and forget about work for a while.
Screwing around in a dark room with my aging Powerbook’s keyboard backlighting. It actually took quite a bit of effort to get the apple logo and only the apple logo in focus.
What with all this new technology I’m getting tempted to get a print of this old photo for the wall:

The picture says it all - I finally got a Dell 2407WFP hooked up to my 24″ iMac for 48″ of workspace bliss! Photoshop and iPhoto are both much happier to have a whole monitor to them selves. I can edit a photo in full screen with all my toolbars, histograms, and other applications have their own monitor.
Luckily Dell and Apple source the same LCD panels for the iMac and the 2407WFP so they have well matched color and luminance. I need to get a better “stand” for the Dell, but other than that I’m pretty happy about who the two integrate on my desk.
Aside from getting my new toy today was actually fairly wearing. The project I’m working on is facing challenges, and it’s a great learning experience - but sometimes I just wish everything would work perfectly. Perfect worlds ROCK!
