An Abstraction
By Sparky | October 30, 2006
Today was a long day at work - luckily I’m in the final stretch of this project and boy can I not wait for it to be over. It was actually a kind of trippy day today. I woke to a bright sunny day, that turned to a wispy fog as I crossed the bridge. Upon getting to work I spent most of the day shrouded in clouds while Seattle proper enjoyed a clear (but freezing cold) day.
In reverence of a trippy day I took this photo through my desk (the green reflection is from the bluetooth headset charger and the red is my iMac). I like the way the reflection blends with the grille on the back of the desk.
I’ve also changed the layout of my blog today. I like this new format because it’s much cleaner than the old one. It’s also a more flexible layout allowing people with larger monitors to more effectively view Futurist Now. I’m also experimenting with posting larger photos - let me know what you think and if it’s awkward on your computer.

Update:
I just did some accessibility testing and the new design actually works down to a maximized browser on about 99.4% of my readers (according to Google Analytics) which is good. The new design also loads well in mobile browsers - but the images are larger and thus will load slower for those on the go.

I wonder what comments look like with this new theme. Let’s find out shall we?
