Almost there

The week actually finished up nearly perfect for me. I got my new job, only have a week left to endure recruiting, and got to pick up my precious car back from the dealership today from the repair work from being rear-ended.

With the exception of a color mis-match on the body work the dealership did a great job on fixing my car. They are being pretty cool about it and are going to repaint the bumper for me in a couple of weeks.

As excited as I am about starting my new career in a week I’m a little worried about how to motivate myself at my job next week. There is an incredible temptation to just coast and not really do any actual work, but I have to find ways to resist that. After all they are being kind enough to invite me to stay for two weeks notice so I should be kind enough not to take advantage of it.

On a slightly un-related topic I’ve discovered Greyhounds. Ken introduced me to them last night and I must say that I’m becoming quite enamored with them. The grapefruit juice does a fantastic job of blending with the vodka and making something entirely drinkable. I’ve had 5 of them now (in less than 24 hours) and am getting rather sassy as a result. Here’s to sobering up tomorrow
