Today was fun! On a lark I decided to join Jason and some of his friends to go see Underworld: Evolution. It was actually quite a bit better that what I had expected and easily surpassed the original Underworld.
There were several strong themes in Underworld: Evolution including blood, poking, grinding, and sucking. The main bad guy has wings with talons at the end and there was a lot of shots of him pulling people in for the bloody kill. Much like the first one there was not that much of a plot, but it was a very pretty movie.
Better yet I got to see the Ultraviolet trailer before the movie. I’d seen it in HD from the Apple site linked to above, but seeing it on the big screen really made Jason and I very excited to see it when it comes out.
After the movie we all went to Mexico (a so-so restaurant downtown for soccer moms) and had some fine food and drinks. One of Jason’s friends brought this guy named Christian who really made my blood boil. He was some Brit guy with a bad accent and even worse manners. In fact he was one of the more emo homos I’ve met in a while - how annoying.
