I feel very numb inside: shortly after getting in to work my mom called me to let me know that my grandma has passed away. She had been very sick in the hospital with pneumonia but we had all been hoping she would pull through.
It still happened to recently to really sort out my emotions but I must say this is bittersweet. My grandma has been fighting with crippling and painful arthritis for most of her life, and in recent years her health has gone significantly down hill. I must say that her passing must have been a welcome relief from her pain, although hard on the rest of us.
Rest in peace Grandma - we all love you and will miss you deeply.
